VEDA Associates were appointed by Southgold Limted to act as consulting Structural and Civil Engineers for the detailed design stage of nine bespoke apartments in heart of Croydon Town Centre.

The project involved the demolition of an existing garage and the construction of a two and three storey development housing nine two bedrooms apartments, in accordance with NHBC regulations.

The new development is constructed of traditional build, with a brick and block outer skin, with the upper floors constructed from steel profile decking supporting insitu concrete. The roof is constructed from traditional timber rafters, with isolated steelwork to accommodate larger spans. The structure is predominantly supported on traditional strip foundations, with the exception of reinforced concrete retaining walls which have been formed adjacent to neighbours properties, which were formed in segments.
