We have expertise and extensive successful experience in the Rail Sector. Our work covers all Network Rail territories, London Underground and London Overground.

Our designs include new platforms, station refurbishments, underbridges, overbridges, drainage and stations, many of which are part of infrastructure refurbishment programmes.

We work closely with other consultants to ensure we produce comprehensive integrated designs.

Our services in the Rail sector include permanent way design, topographical and gauging surveys. telecoms and mechanical and electrical design.

We have a comprehensive understanding of the Network Rail standards and the requirements for design approval at each stage of the GRIP process. All technical staff hold PTS competency.

In May 2015, Achilles completed VEDA Associates’ annual RISQS (Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme) audit, formerly known as the Achilles Link Up qualification. RISQS is the pre-qualification scheme that supports procurement from Network Rail, London Underground/Transport for London, train operators, main infrastructure contractors and other rail products and services providers in the management of supply chain risk.
