multi-disciplinary services to the Rail, Civil and Retail Sectors.

VEDA’s approach is to provide a design that reflects the delivery programme and budget.
We provide a turnkey design service that includes the initial site surveys; geotechnical, topographical, structure gauge, utilities, the feasibility and detail designs, the temporary works, site support and compilation of the health & safety file.

Stonegate Slip: Embankment Stabilisation & Culvert Reline

This stabilisation project required us to provide emergency earth retention to a 40m long landslip at Stonegate, East Sussex. VEDA designed a gabion wall for one of 3 landslips that caused the temporary block of the London to Exeter mainline for 24 hours. VEDA designed reacted quickly, using pipework to extend a culvert below the failed embankment.

Blackhorse Road: Access for All Scheme

As part of the nationwide Network Rail Access For All programme to improve accessibility at train stations, VEDA Associates were appointed by Spence as lead designer to deliver the GRIP 5 multi discipline detailed design at Blackhorse Station.

Fenchurch Street Station: Congestion Relief

VEDA have been appointed by Spence as the lead designers of a multi-disciplinary scheme that involves the provision of a new entrance at tower hill, staff mess facilities and new staircase within the existing ticket hall area.

Weeley Station Footbridge: Platform Renewals & Footbridge

As part of the GA framework VEDA are the lead designer for the new steel footbridge to replace the existing Exmouth type bridge.

London Bridge Station - Greens Café

VEDA Associates were appointed by Spence as temporary works engineers for the design of the temporary works to support the existing carriage way and pedestrian access to London Bridge, to enable the demolition of the three internal load bearing masonry walls. The contractors demolition sequence was split into three stages to enable the permanent works to installed within the tight compounds of the site.

VEDA is a new engineering firm that has quickly grown since 2012 and boasts an engineering prowess in Rail, Civil and Retail sectors. Our senior engineers remain actively involved in the delivery of our projects and we invest in our junior staff so all our engineers approach design with the same considerations for buildability, build cost & programme and safety. Everything we do has a strong focus on delivering project requirements on time and on budget.
