The redevelopment of Bishops Stortford Station is part of the National Station improvement Scheme for Abellio Greater Anglia.
VEDA were employed as Lead Designers by Spence to deliver the multi-discipline detailed design, whilst also providing site support and the design of temporary works.
The new scheme involved the full demolition of the existing 1960's ticket office building and adjoining station offices to provide and the construction of a new station entrance incorporating ticket office, concourse, ticket barrier, retail unit. The new building will be part two storey over the ticket office area.
